This innovative project, developed entirely during an intensive 6-day hands-on training session, marks a turning point in how Corps Members interact with orientation activities.
Designed and built by the Corps Members themselves, the “Kaduna Smart Camp” platform serves as a centralized digital hub for the entire orientation exercise. By moving away from traditional paper-based schedules and announcements, the project brings the camp experience directly into the hands of every participant.

- Live Schedule Tracking: Real-time updates on camp activities, from Reveille to Social Nights.
- CMS News Feed: A dynamic “Breaking News” sidebar synced for instant updates.
- SAED Hub: A verified directory of skills and trainers, complete with one-click contact options.
- PWA Technology: The portal works seamlessly on mobile devices and can be “installed” as an app for offline access to the timetable.
- Interactive Journey: A 21-day calendar allowing Corps Members to track their progress through the orientation course.

Perhaps most impressive is that this robust platform was conceived, designed, and deployed within just six days of hands-on SAED training. Under the guidance of the trainer Dr Abubakar Suleiman. The Web Design Class utilized Artificial Intelligence, modern frameworks and headless CMS architecture to ensure the site is fast, responsive, and scaleable.
The State Coordinator and camp officials have praised the initiative, noting that it sets a high standard for technical skill acquisition within the NYSC SAED program.
